University Wits কী / কারা? Who are the University Wits and their contribution?
★ Elizabethan Period এর একদল Young dramatist and Pamphleteers ( ক্ষুদ্র পুস্তিকা রচয়িতা).
★ তারা Oxford এবং Cambridge University এর Scholar/Witty Students ছিলেন।
★ তারা অনেক বিখ্যাত নাটক রচনা ও মঞ্চস্থ করার মাধ্যমে খ্যাতি অর্জন করেছিলেন।
বিখ্যাত University Wits হলেন (প্রায় ৭ জন):
★★ Christopher Marlowe: (1564-1593).
* তিনি শেক্সপিয়রের পূর্ববর্তী শ্রেষ্ঠ নাট্যকার ছিলেন।
★★ Thomas Kyd:
* তিনি এ দুটি University এর ছাত্র না হয়েও University wits এর অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলেন।
★★ Robert Greene: (1558-1592)
* Faiar Bacon তার বিখ্যাত Comedy.
★★ George Peele(পীল): (1556-1596).
* The Old Wife's Tale.
* Famous Chronicle of King Edward (I).
★★ Thomas Nashe: (1567-1601).
* Summer's Last Will and Testament তার বিখ্যাত নাটক।
* তাকে The greatest of English Elizabethan Pamphleteers বলা হয়।
★★ John Lyly: ( 1553-1606)
* King Midas এবং The Women in the Moon তার বিখ্যাত নাটক।
* The Anatomy of Wit তার শ্রেষ্ঠ গ্রন্থ।
★★ Thomas Lodge: (1553-1606).
* তিনি একজন Physician ছিলেন।
* তিনি এলিজাবেথান ও জেকোবিয়ান যুগে লেখালেখি করেন।
